Amplify to Magnify

Amplify to Magnify is a thought provoking talk organised by WBC. We invited four experienced and influential speakers to share their experience such as founder of sri emas, founder of burger lab , dan khoo and founder of The cap city/negative clothing. This talk aims to give to give audience a first-person perspective of the business world. This would inspire and motivate them for their future. Mid through the event, there will be a heart-warming performance to engage the audience further.

The main objective for this event is to support a group of students and young adults whom see potential in themselves or show interest in the business world by sparking inspiration through sharing different victories and obstacles. The WBC team hopes that this will show them the bigger picture and allow the audience to return home with new ideas and knowledge.

Guest speaker

Anne Tham,
Education Reformist
With almost 30 years in education, founder and group CEO Anne Tham and her team at ACE EdVenture are paving the way for education. During her time teaching at KDU College and Taylor’s College, Anne made a stark observation that a majority of school leavers starting college lacked (and still do) fundamental critical thinking skills needed to meet the demands of the workplace. Even more so, was their poor English proficiency especially if they wanted to excel on a global stage

Guest speaker,

Chin Ren Yi ( founder of burger lab)
Chin Ren Yi started myBurgerLab with his friends, Cheah Chang Ming and Teoh Wee Kiat but he didn't expect that it would start a burger craze. Photos of the signature charcoal burger bun were seen all over social media and months after that, copycats emulated the black burger bun.
It became widely known that it is almost impossible to get a burger from myBurgerLab without queuing up for an hour but that didn't stop the crowd from going night after night to the popular burger joint in the sleepy neighbourhood of Sea Park.

Guest speaker,

Nigel Sparks, Global Citizen, an entrepreneur and founder of The Cap City & Negative Clothing.

From starting brands, to being a rapper, many kids are struggling to figure out how to climb the ladder. Unfortunately, not everyone can make it and the pressure can be overwhelming. Nigel Sparks was a young inspiring rapper, club MC and now, he owns a clothing brand called “Negative” at the age of 21. He is the owner of The Cap City, the first headwear specialty store in Malaysia. He owns 4 stores of the cap city, 3 of which in Malaysia. He started with cap city “simply because he is cap collector” and its difficult to get authentic caps in Malaysia
